Two Kinds of Trans Cams, and Which One This Is
One is the cam site: a broadcaster streams to a room of viewers, who watch, type into a shared chat and tip in tokens. The other is the cam chat, where two people connect one to one with both cameras running and nobody else is in the room.
The cam site model is written into the terms of one of the largest of them. Money on deposit becomes tokens, tokens reach broadcasters as tips, and a tip is final once it is sent. Private shows are sold separately, priced by the minute.

No Camera, No Match
Nobody gets matched with a dark camera, you included, and the person on the other side meets the same condition. That single rule keeps every call two-sided: no one sits off camera watching while the other person carries the call.
It also makes a fake easy to spot. A fake feed, or a frame with no face in it, is something you report, and that person is gone from your matches.
Both cameras then stay on for the whole call, starting the second you connect.

Trans Webcam Setup on a Laptop or a Phone
The camera already built into your laptop or phone is enough, because everything runs inside the browser: Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox, with nothing to install. The first time you press start, the browser asks to use the camera and mic. It asks once.
A few seconds of setup shape the first impression. Face a window or a lamp so the light falls on you rather than behind you, or your face turns into a silhouette. Put the lens at eye level; a phone propped on a few books beats one held below the chin. Leave a little space above your head and keep your eyes near the upper third of the frame.
Then look at what sits behind you. A letter with your address, a work badge or a photo of someone else is as visible as your face, so move it out of shot before the first call.

Starting costs nothing. You can try a few calls without an account and see how it feels before you give us anything. Registration comes after those, and an age check runs before anyone's first match.

Who You Meet, and Who Gets Removed
Everyone in the pool is trans: trans women, trans men and non-binary people. Your preference picks who comes next from among them. The pool is smaller than a general video chat site's, so at quiet hours fewer new faces come through. We would rather keep a smaller room where everyone is trans than fill it with a general crowd.
Trans people and anyone who treats them with respect are welcome. Questions about someone's body or transition, and treating a person as a fetish, get reported and removed. Slurs and harassment end access.
Nobody watches calls. Moderation starts with a report: one tap sends the moment and its evidence to the moderation team and blocks the person at the same time, so you never wait for a decision.

Before Your First Call
Are the cameras really live?
Yes. Both cameras have to be on before a match starts. If the other screen looks like a loop or a recording, report it and that person leaves your matches.
Can I join without showing my face?
Not really. A live camera is the entry ticket, and an empty frame is a reason for the other person to report you. What you control is the angle, the light and what shows behind you.
Do I need to pay to start?
No. Trying it costs nothing and so does picking who you meet; premium features are optional extras on top.
Does TransVideoChat.tv keep my calls?
No. Nothing is kept after a call ends except what a filed report needs, and that is encrypted and deleted once the case closes.
Do I need a separate webcam?
No. The camera already built into a laptop or a phone does the job, and the browser handles the rest.
Can I change who I meet partway through?
Yes. Switch the preference at any time; it is what decides who you meet.
